Won’t You Waggle My Golden Wii?

+ Wednesday, August 31st, 2011

Another Zelda post… This is pretty rad. I have little interest in Skyward Sword, but this WiiMote is beautiful.

One does not simply walk into Wal-Mart and spend $50 on a brand-new Zeldagame. Not when there’s a chance to spend $20 more for a gold-colored Wii Remote Plus!

Retailing for $69.99, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword gold bundle packages the game with a limited edition gold-colored, Triforce-emblazoned Wii Remote Plus, replacing that dirty white one that just seems inadequate for a new Zelda title. It’ll be available on November 20 alongside plain vanilla versions of the game.

They might not be so plain vanilla, however, as Nintendo is slipping in a bonus disc in each game of the initial shipments, featuring orchestral arrangements of select songs that will be performed at The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony Concert. via Kotaku.

Sculpting Digits

Just wrapped up another site for L.A.-based Comic Creator and Bassist Steve Earnhart. I’m pretty proud of this one, it’s got a ton of functionality and the visuals turned out as I’d hoped. Go check it out and support independent comics. His Hard-Bullied Comics series is a crazy modern-noir style story featuring a shark, a wolf, sexy babes and all kind of great stuff. (I still need to read the second volume, though.)

I know I complain a lot about doing websites, but I’m usually happy in the end, as long as they turn out functional and easy on the eyes, which this one is both. Customized and designed entirely around WordPress, Steve can update any aspect of the site as much as he likes as often as he likes as simple as pie.

If you’re curious what I do when not stroking my beard while watching Jem reruns, check out the site, and if you know someone who needs some design work, web or otherwise, send ‘em my way!

This Bangkok worker used recycled materials from old cars and bicycles to create a monster machine. Totally awesome.
