Keep Cool and Rock On

+ Wednesday, December 8th, 2010

You may be well aware of the “Keep Calm and Carry On” meme. Well, we decided to help further run it into the ground with some promotional postcards.

We’ll be sending out a few of these over the holidays to all our favorite friends and associates to remind them of the love and appreciation that radiates from Ice Planet Headquarters. Who knows, they may even have an EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNT OFFER on the flipside. Be on the lookout, and feel free to e-mail us if you, too, would like to be on the list of recipients!

Lego My Syringe

+ Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

I’ve always loved syringes. No, I don’t use heroin or otherwise come across them very often in daily life, but I’ve always loved them, for many reasons (including, possibly, nostalgia, from a youth of surgeries and frequent hospital visits.) I often use them as a design element, as they can invoke many different ideas and emotions, depending on the context.

I’m always on the lookout for classic, old-school ‘hollywood’ looking fake syringes, especially around Halloween. That’s why I find this Lego syringe so gosh darn cool. Never would’ve thought of it. DO WANT, though $22 is probably a bit steep.

Separatist Nightmare!

+ Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

Man, I loves me some Clone Wars. There is so much detail throughout, so much thought and background design that is completely overlooked by 99% of the casual audience. One of the best aspects being the Republic Gunship nosecone art. There are all kinds of great designs, all inspired by World War II nosecone bravado.

While nothing will quite top the Lucky Lekku or the Crumb Bomber (which I own in both t-shirt and toy form,) I just discovered hidden deep in the Clone Wars Season 2 Blu-Ray Production  Art this awesome nosecone design called “Separatist Nightmare.” What a ridiculously cool design. I think I’ll print up a horizontal 11″x17″ for the ol’ walls of awesomeness right now
